My first order with moviedetective.net was The Apple War DVD. I have been looking for that film since my husband and I saw it twice in Westwood when it first came out, but it was never available before. The film plays beautifully and was as enjoyable as I remembered.

I also appreciated the response I received when I had questions about shipping arrangements and the delivery date. The DVD arrived exactly as promised.

If anyone has a film that you would dearly love to own but haven't been able to find, I recommend that you try your luck with Moviedetective.net. They might just have what you want!

I have been trying to locate a DVD for the Apple War for two decades. When I saw this listing, I was skeptical but the price was decent so I risked it. The movie arrived fast and the DVD was perfect. Thank you!!

I am so grateful to MovieDetective.net for finally making this classic available with English subtitles after so many decades. I was highly impressed with the quality of the DVD+R. I was expecting a mediocre pan & scan at best, but this is the real thing in blazing color and sound, just as I saw it in the theater in the 1970s. Highly satisfied!

Very entertaining parable where an idyllic town is saved from a German developer (Herr Volkswagner) from building "Deutchsneyland". Echoes of past and present struggles between preservation and development. Told with considerable humor.

I first saw The Apple War in about 1973 when I was in college, I think 3 times. Through the years I tried to find a copy from time to time. I even scoured the pirate sites, but my heart sank. It was the most delightful movie I had ever seen, and perhaps, ever made. I felt lost each time I couldn't find it. I did. But now, at 73, you have brought that delight back to me. Thank you. I just wish a new release of the movie could be. It would have to be on TV, of course.
You know, I'm going to contact Netflix, and go through your catalog as well.

a favorite cult flick showing in the 70's around colleges in Seattle, well ahead of its time. Picture rural folks stifling corporate real estate development, add in mystical elements and humor - highly recommended, so glad its available for USA video
