Description

This is a region-free DVD-R without case or artwork.

In Russian with English subtitles. The Russian title of this film is Dom, V Kotorom Ya Zhivu.

Set in the years prior to and during World War II, the story centers on the various residents of a co-op house. Though the directors never show the war itself, its tragic impact is felt throughout the film. And despite the potential for Soviet propaganda, what sticks in the mind is the universality of the experiences endured by the leading characters. The House I Live In was one of Russian's entries in the 1958 Brussels Film Festival.

Exceptional drama, an intimate portrait.  Close neighbours interconnect over a number of years, through the devastation of war , birth, death , commitment, love.  The cycle of life is beautifully filmed b&w, deeply moving with a wonderful emotive score.
Excellent Quality !! Many Thanks MD...
