In Italian with English subtitles. Also known as Totò e i Re di Roma.

Directed by Mario Monicelli and Steno. Ercole Pappalardo (Totò), married with five daughters, dreams of being promoted from his current position in the post department, as a higher salary would make life much easier. But in trying for the promotion, everything goes wrong: he accidentally spits in the minister's face, accidentally insults him through a parrot, and finally they discover he has no title to fit his current position. With everything falling to pieces around him, he comes up with one final, sure-fire plan...

Also look for a young Alberto Sordi in one of his first screen roles. THE young actor reportedly made a good impression on Totò, who took Sordi under his wing.
