Showcasing Gassman in a variety of characters, this is an invaluable catalog of his acting range, most especially if one's knowledge of his talent is limited to his work in Mambo, Bitter Rice, and Anna. And if familiar with Il Sorpasso, you may be pleased to once again hear the infamous car horn. The actresses are potent foils for Gassman's bravura and/or restraint, and I'm glad to see Sylva Koscina in one of the few roles, those that I'm aware of, making good use of her acting skills.
