I first saw this film when I was 17 years old and it was "right up my alley". I loved it then and I love it now, a "few" years later. I have heard and read grumbles here and there about the story being too sentimental and downright unbelievable. I don't agree with that at all. Keep in mind, this is a FRENCH film, as far away from Hollywood as you can get, and Europeans think and feel a little differently. Bardot is lovely, very natural, a pure delight; praise also to Isabelle Pia, who - alas - made all to few films. Praise is due as well to Moviedetective's very fine print, just like new. The only sour note is the English title, which may easily be minconstrued. The "Love School" happens to be a music academy in Vienna.
