Film adaptation of a 1955 Argentine detective novel by Marco Denevi. A boarding house occupant receives letters containing the scent of perfume. Excellent production quality for a 1958 foreign black & white movie. Good lead female performance by MarÃa Luisa Robledo as the landlady. The last third was a bit convoluted or obscure, but that's maybe due to the novel, not the film. Things at least got wrapped up neatly at the end.

If a hen eats something, the other hens run to eat the same thing. This is the moral in this film employing an intriguing plot and excellent acting. Great quality in the product.
