It's known that neorealism came in the post-war, but watching this film, simply a masterpiece, it looks as it had come earlier. The actors are great, also the script on a story where the famous Cesare Zavattini had a hand, the camera work, everything. The movie has been remade twice as far as I know, but NO WAY.

A very charming and moving film. A treasure, presented in an excellent print.
