This is a region-free DVD-R without case or artwork.

In Italian with English subtitles. Released in the US as The Unfaithfuls.

Le Infedeli is graced by two internationally popular leading ladies: Italy's Gina Lollobrigida and Sweden's Mai Britt. The two actresses are but small portions of a larger plot mosaic, all about keeping up appearances no matter what the provocation. A group of "respectable" people are all partly responsible for the suicide of a servant girl. They are pounced upon by a wily blackmailer (Pierre Cressoy), who knows that these people will pay dearly rather than inform on themselves or others. The villain's comeuppance may seem a bit extreme, but it's undeniably satisfying. This Carlo Ponti-Dino DeLaurentiis production also features Irene Papas and Marina Vlady.

5 of 5 Le Infedeli, highly recommended. March 18, 2018

Another super Italian film from Movie Detective. Every bit as good as I remembered it. And a dream cast to boot, with the exception of Pierre Cressoy [sorry Pierre], who is better suited for sword-and sandal pictures.
It was great to see Maj Britt again, with her lovely pussycat eyes. Wish there were more of her films, "Cavalleria Rusticana" for instance.
I rather admire Italian film makers for not being afraid to criticize some of the social ills in their own country, for pointing the finger at themselves so to speak. This film is a mixture of sarcasm, wit, irony, humor and tragedy, well put together by the expert team of Steno and Monicelli. It also has a nifty ending. And Marina Vlady at 15!
