A great movie with fantastic roles of the two protagonists. Giovanna Ralli got a Donatello Award for her role. The image and the transmission were rather faint, but I guess that this is the best there is. This movie was never restored. But it is worthwhile seeing!

Not a top-notch transfer or print, but very watchable with readable English subtitles throughout. More than worth the money if you really want to see this film, and as one of the key "Lesbian chic" European films of the 60s, it's a historically significant work.

A woman with no logical reason to be so unhappy - becomes suicidal. "La Fuga" is a film fascinated with psychotherapy and memories, featuring characters who are rich and consistently miserable. Photography, music, casting, performances and dialogue are all effective. It is European art cinema of the sixties - at its best.
