Wonderful movie, full of humor. The whole cast is excellent, with many renowned French actors of the period. Gerard Philipe does his usual perfect job. Brigitte Bardot was very young at the time, and just has a small ingenue role. Michele Morgan is the star along with Philipe. I have never liked her, but i cannot fault her in the part.

Excellent quality DVD, good sound, and prompt service.

The picture quality and sound are perfect!  This is a great romantic comedy-drama, set in the last years of the Belle Epoch in France.  The period costumes and sets are lavish.  The movie is beautifully filmed in pastel colors, with some bright reds.  Highly recommended!
