... for want of a better subject line. This is a very fine film. Corinne Luchaire shines in the third (of three) segment. She only made a handful of films so this is a rare treat. The rest of the cast of excellent. Michel Simon and Claude Dauphin are in all three segments, each having a beautiful, different leading lady. The score, as stated in the credits, is by Roger Desormiere, Darius Milhaud, and Arthur Honneger. I assume that they each scored a segment but I've no verification on this. If that's the case, I wonder if they listed their names in the order that their music appeared, respectively. Either way, whoever composed the last bit of music, which closes the curtains at the end, composed one heck of a piece. I can't stop humming it, days after viewing. Though admittedly, I did rewind the last two minutes several times, just to hear the scoring again. Magnifique!
