I'd seen this odd production screened years ago at a German film fest in L.A. and was completely taken by it. I finally found a copy through Movie Detective: beautiful definition print, clear subtitles, a professional job all around. A 1935 German operetta with surprisingly racy undertones (no prudish Code censorship in foreign countries!). Thank you for bringing it back for viewers in the 21st century.

Mark Twain once said of the Grecian Gods: "They came down from Olympus and had wonderful times with those hot young blossoms". That sums up this wonderfully fun film from director Reinhold Schünzel, who also helmed the original Victor/Victoria; also found here on Moviedetectiv.net - Buy them both.
