At last, a chance to see Lorre's only film as director, with English subtitles. Too bad Lorre didn't direct again. The film has a nice visual style. Well worth seeing, and in a good quality transfer.

Been looking for a subtitled version of this for years. Movie Detective's DVD is a revelation. Great picture and subtitles! Very pleased!

A must for Peter Lorre fans

A very fine print with good sound, the movie is a fascinating curio. It's marred by a heavy-handed music score at times, but all in all a good film noir of its era.

Not a masterpiece but still a shamefully neglected picture. Great print

Lorre is superb, the film is well directed, but the script to me was a bit opaque and convoluted. Terrific print quality. Thanks for making this available!
