First oder from GER and very pleased with shipping, and the DVD (with engl. subs) itself. Of course, this is the same version like on udube/okru, but with english subtitles, which I found nowhere else than here. Recommended!

I got this morning my parcel from USA. It's a plain copy DVD+R, without box and sticker. But absolutely no problems, the copy is excellent and my satisfaction is great. I found last week my old VHS copy of Agostino, now I'll set the illustration of the VHS box in a DVD box so it'll be with skillfull perfect...sure thing. JLL

Bolognini/Moravia

I read this when around Agostino's age, but was evidently blind to the ambiguity. Bolognini uses a more experimental style here than elsewhere, and it works well for the material. A very reasonable copy from a pretty good source. Recommended.

Thank you for a very good service and using a quick mail. Very good for a film lover like me to find the films I thought impossible to get.
I am looking forward to buying more from you.

One of Bolognini's finest films - and he has quite a few. Directed with feeling,he brings out the best in Ingrid Thulin who was one of the great European actresses of the sixties.
This is a first-class print of a difficult film to find.
Well done Movie Detective for bringing us a good quality DVD.

A difficult to locate film easily located!

This more-than-half-century-old Italian movie was on the periphery of my vision for a long time, being mentioned in numerous cinema histories. I was delighted to obtain it in as good a version as present technology permits.

Although the picture seemed to have been cropped and was a bit fuzzy (presumably due to the source material), this didn't really spoil my enjoyment of the film. There are some interesting views of the area around Venice that are a real contrast to the city itself.

Excellent film. Mauro Bolognini's film-making is elegant as usual; he deserved to be up there with the big names of Italian cinema. The black and white cinematography helps concentrate attention on the honestly depicted emotions of this stage of youth. No uneasy comedy about the feelings involved, and not a dull moment, either. Thanks for giving me the chance to see it.
